Q: What do I need to know before I come in?
A: Auto parts are not one-size-fits-all. Even if you have a general idea of what you want--for example, replacement windshield wipers--you might not know the specific part number for your car, truck, or SUV. Our factory-trained advisors will help you find the specific part you're looking for. Most of the time, all they will need to know is your car's year, make, and model. So, for example, a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu. They may also ask you about what kind of engine your car has and whether it has an automatic or manual transmission.
The single best piece of information you can have is your car's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). The VIN identifies your car individually, and includes information about its trimline, options, manufacturing date, and where it was built. You can find the VIN on a sticker on the driver's side front door or doorjamb, as well as a plate on the bottom of the windshield on the driver's side (the plate is actually located on the dashboard, but it's visible through the windshield.)

Q: I like to work on my own car. Do you sell the parts I need?
A: Yes, we carry the full line of GM parts and if we don't have the part you're looking for in stock, we can order it for you.

Q: What brands do you carry?
A: We carry parts for all General Motors brands: Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Pontiac, Saab, and Saturn. We also carry parts by GM-licensed manufacturers such as ACDelco.

Q: Do you sell used parts?
A: No. Hanlees Chevrolet only sells GM licensed OEM parts and GM-recommended products. However, we offer a wide variety of OEM and GM-recommended accessories and options.

Q: What does "OEM" mean?
A: OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturer." OEM equipment means that it is the 'official' part used by the factory when they manufacture a vehicle.

Q: Why should I pay more for OEM parts and equipment?
A: OEM parts and equipment are designed to interact with your vehicle and have been specifically manufactured for their purpose to achieve perfect functionality as well as fit and finish. OEM parts have met Chevrolet's vigorous engineering and testing standards and are covered by Chevrolet's factory warranty. Using only OEM parts and equipment preserves the resale value of your vehicle and can extend its life as well.

A: We do carry parts for older vehicles. Please let us know what you're looking for and we will see if it is still available. Some parts may be out of production, depending on how old your vehicle is.

Q: Can you help me upgrade my vehicle?
A: Hanlees Chevrolet carries a variety of GM-certified and GM-licensed performance parts and upgrades. For example, we carry the Borla exhaust system for the Chevy Camaro. Chevrolet offers a wide variety of optional equipment for their cars, trucks, and SUVs, including exhaust kits, premium wheels, truck bed extenders, toolboxes, tubular bed rails, tonneau covers, and tailgate lock packages.
